The Bubba Ray Gulls capped off an outstanding campaign in 2013-14 by winning five straight games at the Irving Oil Challenge Cup in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland to claim the Atlantic Canada Major Bantam AAA crown.
The Gulls finished second in the 2013-14 regular season with record of 27 wins, 5 loses and 2 ties. They went on to the NSMBHL Provincials in Sydney and won in the final by a 3-2 margin over the Bedford Barons to advance to the Atlantics. Their overall record in 2013-14 is 49 wins, 11 loses and 6 ties. They also experienced success at the Chronicle Herald East Coast Ice Jam Tournament as they won the gold in the inaugural Bantam AAA event held in January at the BMO Centre in Bedford.
In Newfoundland, the Gulls represented themselves and the NSMBHL well both on the ice and off and received many accolades from those they met on " the Rock".
