The Pro Hockey Life Harbour Storm visited St. Margaret’s Bay on Saturday evening for a tilt with the hometown GULLS. Fans did not leave disappointed as a high intensity, physical game ended with the GULLS coming out on top! Ben MacDonald (who snuck out of the rink without a chance for a photo-op) earned himself the Pepto Bismol Goring Lid of Fame by turning away 20 of 21 shots!

Novas @ GULLS - Wear It For Wishes

It was a special atmosphere at the St. Margaret’s Bay Centre on Sunday, as the GULLS hosted the Novas for the annual Wear It For Wishes game in support of the Children’s Wish Foundation. Before the game, the crowd was introduced to Hunter Marsden - a 11 year old Minecraft master who is living with stage 4 neuroblastoma - a high risk and aggressive cancer. Hunter was joined at center ice both teams for a ceremonial puck drop. A cheque made out to the Children’s Wish Foundation    in the amount of $19,000 was also presented and was generously donated by Enterprise Holdings. This donation, along with cookie sales, and other donations helped the GULLS raise over $22,000 for the cause! Thank you for your support!

There was also excitement on the ice as the GULLS were able to battle back from a 4-1 deficit at the end of the 1st, to make out 4-3 by the end of the 2nd. Unfortunately, the Novas were able to capitalize on their power play by scoring 2 more in the 3rd, handing the GULLS a loss, and evening the series at 1 a piece.
